We listen, we communicate, we understand, we coordinate, and we execute. Our strength comes from the relationships, and network and trust we build with our clients, design partners, contractors, and the communities we work in. Each branch of our network trusts that they can bring challenges directly to us, and that we will cheerfully undertake the responsibility to resolve the issues. That's what engineers do, we solve problems. We typically find that the engineering problems are the easy ones to solve, and it's those other problems, that weren't anticipated, where the team needs someone they know will seize the initiative to keep the project marching forward. That's where we thrive and shine, the march forward to progress, and that's what we pride ourselves in.
As licensed civil engineers with expertise in land development, our design interfaces with almost every other design discipline. Coordination is our passion starting at the due diligence phase with our survey, environmental, geotechnical, and real estate partners. As a project develops we not only work with architects, MEP engineers, structural engineers, and landscape architects, but we take it upon ourselves to oversee or assist in the oversight of a completely coordinated project in all areas from design, to approvals/permits, and through construction. We leverage our experience to understand and plan for every step of each unique project so that you can be confident every step along the way.
It's a dream until it's on paper, then it's a plan. We listen to your dream, turn it into a plan, and help you turn it into a reality.
Mr. Leach has spent over two decades in land development, and has been the engineer of record for tens of millions of dollars of infrastructure. He began his career as an intern rodman on a survey crew while attending Michigan Technological University. As a 2005 graduate from MTU his career took him places he never would have guessed when the market of 2008 told him to find something to do other than land development. A few years as a structural engineer in the steel mills and chemical plants downriver were a fantastic opportunity to expand his knowledge base. When people in southeast Michigan started building again, he did too by building and leading a civil engineering group at the A/E firm that he was formally affiliated with. For the next decade he worked side by side with architects and building engineers as he developed into a project manager for multi-discipline A/E projects. His professional approach to design paired with his personal approach to relationships come together in a way that his clients trust, and respect. He founded Leach Engineering in 2024 as A Professional Service Company as the embodiment of his approach to project delivery.
